The Toader

Official Turkey Trot for the Underachiever

After the big holiday feast, we’re all looking for a fun way to get outside and celebrate. At Blue Toad Hard Cider, we believe in embracing the good things in life—like good food, great friends, and delicious cider. That’s why we created The Toader, the perfect event for the underachiever in all of us.

A Different Kind of Race

This isn’t your typical 5K. The Toader is a “challenging” 1.51 km journey with a special twist. Our event is designed for running, eating, and drinking, celebrating the spirit of a relaxed, fun-filled holiday. Gather your crew and come out for a race where the goal is simply to enjoy yourself.

Rest Stops with a Twist

Along the course on our stunning 27-acre farm, you’ll find three unique rest stops. The first stop fuels you up with a pint of our refreshing ‘Into the Orchard.’ Next, you must consume a delicious fresh cider donut to continue. Finally, at the top of the field, you’ll grab a slice of hot, crispy bacon to complete your race fuel.

Stunning Scenery and Cider

The course takes you on a beautiful journey surrounded by 360-degree views of the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. You’ll experience the best of our Virginia cider taproom and bar as you run through the historic High View Farm driveway, taking in the scenery before reaching the Cider Hall for the after-party.

The After Party Awaits

After you cross the finish line, the celebration continues! Join us for an after-party featuring a local band, a vibrant small business Saturday market, and delicious eats from a food truck. Participants will also receive a custom “Toader” t-shirt, wristband, and headband.
